How We Test and Review

This page explains exactly how Cherry Trick researched Yu Sleep: what we have and have not bought, where the buyer reviews on this site come from and how we count them, and how we check each ingredient against its label and the published studies. Every review page on this site draws on three kinds of evidence: our own checks of the product and its sales pages, buyer reports we read on the platform where each one was posted, and published research on the ingredients Yu Sleep contains. We read the vendor's pages, the BBB profile, both Trustpilot profiles and the Amazon listing on 25 September 2026, and this page is updated whenever our method or the evidence behind it changes.

What We Have Bought (and What We Have Not)

We have not bought a bottle of Yu Sleep yet, so every review page on this site says so plainly and reports only what we can check without one. Without a bottle, we read the vendor's own Supplement Facts image and compared it with the label render on the Amazon listing, and found that the two match. We went through the ClickBank checkout pages and confirmed that every sales-page package is a one-time purchase with no order bump. We compared the prices on the vendor's two sales pages, which use different price ladders for the same bottles. We read the refund policy and the shipping policy line by line, and we read every review and complaint on the BBB profile and on both Trustpilot profiles named after the product. A bottle would add three things this page cannot show yet: the physical label and any back-panel warnings, the delivery time, and the taste and how the dropper measures a serving.

How We Collect and Code Buyer Reviews

We read every Yu Sleep buyer review and complaint we could find in full, on the platform it was posted on, rather than relying on a vendor's own testimonials or a third-party summary. In total we could read 14 reports, and the three sections below explain where they came from, what we left out, and how we turn what is left into the numbers on the review page.

Where we look

For Yu Sleep, the 14 buyer reports we counted come from 4 places: 6 Better Business Bureau (BBB) customer reviews, 5 BBB complaints, 1 Trustpilot review and 2 Reddit snippets.

  • BBB profile, Aurora, CO: 6 customer reviews averaging 1.17 out of 5, plus 5 complaints; the business carries a C+ rating and is not accredited.
  • Trustpilot: no profile belongs to the vendor; we counted the 1 review on an affiliate-run profile, swiftlist.io, because it works against that profile owner's own interest.
  • Reddit: 1 thread in r/sleep, read as search snippets because the thread itself returned an access error for us.
  • Also checked: Amazon, YouTube, Sitejabber, PissedConsumer, ComplaintsBoard and ScamAdviser.

We generally do not use vendor-chosen testimonials on the sales page, because the vendor selects them and its affiliate terms forbid reusing them.

What we leave out, and why

We exclude reviews when we cannot tell whether they are genuine, when a platform profile was set up by an affiliate rather than the vendor, or when a post is plainly promotional.

  • A second Trustpilot profile, yu-sleep-supplement.vercel.app, belongs to an affiliate review site, not the vendor; 2 of its 3 reviews were posted on the day the profile was created, each within 30 seconds of the reviewer's account being opened, using template wording that reads more like bedding than liquid drops.
  • A subreddit created for the product, "honest experience" posts in unrelated subreddits, and posts from accounts whose own profile text is promotional.
  • 16 YouTube videos and a playlist whose visible descriptions link the sales page through a link shortener; we found no independent video reviewer.
  • Press releases, university-upload PDFs, S3-bucket documents and forum-spam threads that repeat "reviews and complaints" language and often contradict each other and the label.

None of the 14 reports we did count show these signs: no incentive mentions, no copy-pasted text, and no burst of same-day five-star reviews. Even after these exclusions, 11 of the 14 reports come from a complaint-collecting site, BBB, so the pattern shows what goes wrong for the buyers who write in, not how many buyers were satisfied overall.

How we turn reports into the numbers on the page

Once we have the reports we are keeping, we read each one and tag it with the themes it actually describes, such as no noticeable effect, a refund problem, or an order that never arrived; a single report can carry more than one tag. We count a theme's share as the number of reports carrying that tag divided by the total kept, 14 for Yu Sleep. The quotes shown on the review page are verbatim excerpts, capped at 40 words, and always linked back to the original post. We flag anything that could change the reading, such as two BBB records that may belong to the same person. The resulting numbers and themes are published as structured data and shown on the review page's buyer-review table.

How We Check Ingredients and Doses

For each of Yu Sleep's 10 labeled ingredients, we start from the vendor's own Supplement Facts image and set every disclosed dose, and every ingredient in the undisclosed blend, against the human sleep studies that used it.

  • Published trials and reviews on PubMed and PubMed Central, read in full or by their abstract.
  • The U.S. National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) fact sheets for the ingredients that have one.
  • The National Institutes of Health Office of Dietary Supplements (NIH ODS) fact sheets for safety limits, read through archived copies because the live site blocked our automated reads, and re-checked on the live pages before anything is published.

Where a dose is not on the label, we say so and never estimate one. Where the label lists a blend, we work out the largest amount an ingredient could hold if the blend is listed by descending weight, as U.S. rules require, and we always present that as a ceiling, never as the actual amount. Every study we cite names the author, year, how many people took part and the dose they took, so the dose used in a trial can be compared with what Yu Sleep discloses (or does not). The full table is on our page about Yu Sleep ingredients and doses.

What We Have Not Verified Yet

Several things about Yu Sleep remain open, and we say so on the pages where they come up rather than guessing.

  • The exact amount of each of the 7 undisclosed blend ingredients.
  • Whether the manufacturing claims on the vendor's sales letter are true, since no facility is named.
  • The full text of the Reddit thread we could only read as search snippets.
  • The text of the 97 Amazon ratings, which are not part of our 14 counted reports because we have not read them.

When we buy a bottle, this page and the review page will be updated to say so, with photos.
